Love it! Can you also do/have you done a video based on the descending chromatic scale?
Play it first
What are cadences? Is that another term for chord progression?
@@olusegunakintunde6297 a cadence is specifically something that ends a phrase. So, this progression shows a way you can end in Ebmajor
Playing along on guitar. What an incredible eye opener.
Minor key turns to Hatikvah
Just wow! So sophisticated.
G 7 woolly bully watch it now
This is pretty much Bill Evans “Time Remembered” main harmony core. Nice.
I'm a big fan!
Nice
Pretty nice. I'd use less sustaining pedal. Though perhaps that sounds better in real life.
I agree ... It's a constant crutch. But yes it is better live :)
Hi again! I see you are still doing great! This one felt really nice cause it was so harmonic and somewhat dissonant at the same time. And may i recommend making some long form content too? On a side note but also relevant. This reminded me alot of the Murder Drones OST, do you maybe wanna try playing Disassembly Required?
Ha, I wish I had time to make longer videos, let alone play video games...
@ Oh Disassembly Required is actually part of the OST. Ive only seen one other person play it on piano irl.
@TotallyNotAPie OH. Lol. I will check it out.... 🙃
@@darushkii It might be.. uhh.. a tiny bit annoying considering theres some pretty wide chords that are played quickly after eachother
Oh yeah, have you thought more about a community discord yet?
Subbed
@@ThwWonderOfU cheers!
Niceee
◾️🥶🥳🥳
BORING! It's good for practicing, but typical classical root 3rd 5th sound with the typical passing tones. I never truly enjoyed classical music for this reason, other than Beethoven, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Chopin and Liszt.
Sometimes, boring can be useful :)
@@darushkii very true!
I should try this
@@davidmckelvey2601 yes!
Ok but what happends to the fifth of the G7 chord? It's a d that goes to d# in the B second inversion chord right?
Yep! That's the smoothest way to do it. It can of course jump around if you do another voicing
Beautiful. Deep.
Got 80's B movie vibes. Love it
Would you say that this particular musical theory is…Canon?
LMAO. But fr tho
Nailed it :)
Depression Jazz
@@HalIucinations LOL
Very pleasing progression. I imagine a horror film might want to hold more dissonant tension to twist your nerves into bundles. Promising to resolve without fully delivering.
This made me remember a dream from when I was like nine years old about another dimension where everything was gigantic and I was tiny
That's horrifying!
@@darushkiii actually had a pretty similar dream once. Just this huge creepy mansion with a continuous thunder storm and always night. Either i was tiny or everything was big. However there were also loads of things out to kill me, from big humanoid like things, to dolls, to other shit. I was in there for 7 days, i felt every second haha. Dreams can be weird
Beach Noir. "It was a bright day, on a beach that knows how to con its visitors!" 😂
Personally I like it a lot ! It could go with horror/mystery. But the improv here is more relaxing than anything to me. Reminds of some calm jazz musics.
Awful or brilliant? I think you mean awfully brilliant!
@@obsidianmusic303 lol you are very kind!
Twin Peaks immediately came to mind. Nicely done!
This piece fits the moment when the family drives on and is on the way to move in the haunted house 😅
This is some charlie brown great pumpkin shit
@frebdle3067 I have no idea what that means LOL
Sick! I'm going to try this out
Not for horror but would be amazing for the intro to an indie psychological thriller
I like it with the open fifth at the end. If you wanted to fill it out more I'd lean toward adding some sus type stuff instead and leave the third ambiguous probably. But that's just taste, & maybe in a different context I'd feel different of course.
Or like a Gm/C type thing. C5/7/9/13 or whatever. Some tasty voicing that avoids resolving cheesily but still lets you be "home" and have "escaped" from the mM7 dissonance. I'm not at an instrument now, I'm waiting for a bus scrolling my phone haha - I enjoyed your video it was fun t think about and try to “play” it in my head 🙃
I 100% regretted playing the third at the end after I stopped filming, but sometimes that's just how the improv gods will it lol
@ must be onto something then 😁😉
Sounds like a noir type of sound track
Like for saying sequence and then it was actually a sequence 😁
I try to be accurate 😀😀😀😀
Pretty dope, switching super hard from dissonance to resolve. Trippy
cool!! and you can kind of cycle infinitely right? the mM chord goes down a semitone and then its V9 chord, rinse repeat? the C chord at the end did't feel particularly like it was supposed to be the tonic to me
Legit. Hearing the chords on their own sounded nice but not really horror film worthy, but when he started playing it, using that dissonant melody over the pretty harmony underneath, I saw the light. Good horror can take things of comfort and familiarity and twist it in that uncanny valley kind of way; it distorts beauty and subtly corrupts purity. The harmony lulls and assures and then reassures, but the melody is that quiet thought in the back of your head that something IS NOT RIGHT… Awesome stuff
Dire Dire Docks (Mario 64) vibes
sounds super boring to me. It's pretty and well palyed, but I hate this kind of music(not the piano).
@@stanislavsynytsia6592 thanks for listening anyway! I've got a really weird and crunchy one that I'll upload later thatll be a lot different 😀
Reminds me of Forensic Files intro music
Relatable villain theme tonic 👌
Sounds like the piano Ash's girlfriend was playing in Evil Dead 2
@@CodyVerret wow now THAT'S a reference. I'm gunna have to go back and watch that movie it's been a minute!!!
Interesting. This one's more of a loop than a yoyo: 3/4, Dma. All four note chords, 2 each for LH and RH. Bar1. B9 dotted minim. Bottom to top=D below bass clef, C; F & B. Bar2. 2 chords, crotchet then minim; Am7, Fnat6+7. A bottom space of bass clef E, G Cnat -> Fnat below bass clef D, G Cnat. Bar3. Dotted minim. A bottom space of bass clef E;. E Csharp. Bar4. Dotted minim in RH, A on 2nd leger line below treble clef D; LH is crotchet minim -> G bottom line of bass clef Fsharp, then Fsharp the semitone lower + D (effectively D with sus6 resolving to D 1st inv.) Wish I could just paste an image in here!
There was this game for the original PlayStation called 101 Dalmatians, and you pretty much just rewrite the soundtrack of that lol.

Minor 9ths are always hideous ❤️
Nice cover! I invit you discovering my guitar and vocal arrangement and my tube...
I would use my forearm
@@Caesaring lmao that's definitely a valid technique!
I'd lean forwards over the keys to reach for my stole, and it would just happen. Oh, hang on. That's right. I'm not actually an ample-breasted has-been soprano trying to impress the young man about to enter the room...
I enjoy the rumble of the fmin7#11. Works to connect the C# of the A chord and the Db of the Db chord. Interesting voice leading too
